    Changes in regulations in India and globally over the years have made the task of board members and Independent Directors more onerous over a period of time. The team at GRMI, including some of the leading Independent Directors associated with the institute, is of the view that there is a significant lack of appreciation of the need to apply the risk lens in decision-making process.

    This gap exposes organizations to the potential risk of sub-optimal decision-making and also does not challenge the management and leadership team sufficiently on their Risk Management practices.

    Our endeavor is to deliver insightful and practical learning sessions to Independent Directors on Risk Management. This in our view would be a very significant contribution by GRMI to the overall business world in India. We believe this will achieve the following:

The School of Design and Creative Arts (SDCA) has been established after extensive feedback from the industry on the skill set deficit that they are seeing in the current graduates. This feedback – lack of broad based design skills, lack of design thinking, and lack of business skills – form the foundation for the unique course offering.
 
The contemporary programs offered by SDCA include first two years of foundation to provide interdisciplinary exposure through design thinking, business skills, and internship across two different specializations. Only after this broad exposure are students required to make an informed choice of specialisation starting in the third year.

 Civil Engineeringis 3 times accredited with “A” grade by National Board of Accreditationhas well qualified, senior, ambitious and dynamic staff. The department started offering B.E programme in Civil Engineering in the year 1983 with annual intake 60.With increasing in demand from industry the department has increased the annual intake of B.E. programme from 60 to 120 in the year 2012-13. A team of qualified faculty with ample experience is the highlight of the





 department. A P.G. Course i.eME Civil (Structures) was added in the year 2007 with an intake of18 and also from 2020-21 Ph.D. research centrehas been established.Both the programmes emphasize on industry standard and research based projects, which would enhance student’s skills to become successful professionals for a holistic development.

Engineering and science training institute


The Institute was established in 1983 with two undergraduate’s courses Production and Civil departments along with the APPLIED SCIENCE Department as an associated department to provide the basic fundamentals of mathematics and sciences. The department was established with the intake of 120. At present it is known as Engineering Science department and its intake is increased up to of 660. The Engineering Science Department offers Engineering Physics and Engineering Chemistry for first year engineering whereas Engineering Mathematics is for first and second year engineering and for PG. Engineering Mathematics is the backbone of all Engineering disciplines, hencerigorousefforts are taken for Mathematics.



As per the AICTE and SPPU Pune norms the Engineering Science Dept. has 4 Associate Professors and 8 Assistant Professors who are enthusiastic and dynamic with 2 Technical Assistants, committed towards all the departmental activities. The department has Electronics Engineering Student Association (EESA) under which different events like GD, Quiz, Circuit Design contest, debate, project exhibition, indoor and outdoor games are organized. Hobby club is established to make the student practically sound and develop their interest by implementing electronic Gadgets for variety of applications.  Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 1991 – 1992; the Department has traversed the path of knowledge dissemination and generation as well as delivering over 3000 Mechanical Engineering graduates to the Nation. Over these 29 glorious years, it has carved a niche for itself in the key areas of teaching, research, consultancy, administration and community services. The Department of Mechanical Engineering prioritize the necessary revamping of Mechanical Engineering education, which is driven primarily by dynamics of technological advances and sustainable development and with active involvement of industry, alumni, research organizations and other stakeholders. Department of Computer Engineering was started in 1986 with the intake of 60 and intake is increased to 120 in the academic year 2012-2013. Department has completed its silver jubilee in year 2011. The department is accredited 3 times by National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi. The department has introduced with ME (Computer Engineering) in the year 2010 with the intake of 18. Department has excellent infrastructure and human resources to cater both these courses.

Laboratories are well equipped with latest software and hardware. Students are trained in Computer Programming for engineering applications to meet the IT Industry challenges.


Department has tie up with NVIDIA and has setup NVIDIA GPU Teaching Centre housing four workstations & IoT based NVIDIA Jetson embedded board which gives exposure to students on parallel and concurrent programming. The department has tie up with MiTu Skillologies, Nashik for Big Data Analytics Centre of Excellence to provide students with big data analytics platform. IRT Incubation Centre, Microsoft Student Partner Program, IBM Academic Initiative and NPTEL Local Centre are other initiatives in the department which has been proved as an extra advantage to the department.
