COURSE DETAILS
ELIGIBILITY
This program is open to persons interested in producing their own music.
PROGRAM
Our curriculum guides you through the creative journey of discovering your own sound and developing it into a unique body of work. You will learn valuable techniques as you compose a portfolio of original tracks. We begin with the basics of production and studio etiquette and immediately follow it up with DAWs (Ableton & Protools). We then delve into the depths of MIDI sequencing & editing. While learning to use it, you will acquire production skills that can be applied to a wide variety of applications from songwriting, to studio production, to laptop DJ’ing. You will learn to compile Ableton sets from audio and MIDI clips, loops, or samples. Our final module on Music & Audio production for advertising & media and an overview of the entertainment business will qualify you as a producer ready to take on the world.
EQUIPMENT
The facility brags of a state of the art studio with a soundproofed & acoustically treated control room & living room. The studio is equipped with the latest Pro Tools HD system, API Preamps, Tube preamps, Inward connections, Ableton Live, Push 2, Kontrol S49, Adam S3A reference audio speakers, and an AVID control surface.
SYSTEM DESIGN & ALIGNMENT COURSE
ELIGIBILITY
This program is for individuals from the audio industry who would like to brush up on the basics of audio and get up to speed with the latest in the business. At least 2 years of work experience is mandatory.
PROGRAM
This 3-day program includes fundamentals of system design, acoustical factors in system interaction, fundamentals in electrical and electronics. The program also covers the use of Real-Time Analyzer to improve the intelligibility of audio systems.
EQUIPMENT
The course is run using the award-winning FFT Software from Rational Acoustics – Smaart. The system includes Meyer Sound Audio System, AVID digital Live Sound Audio consoles, Meyer Sound Galileo & DPA microphones.
ART OF MIXING WITH PRO TOOLS
COURSE DETAILS
ELIGIBILITY
Any one who is keen on learning and refining their DAW skills for mixing with Pro Tools.
PROGRAM
This 5 day crash course will take you through the essentials of Pro Tools based in the box mixing. The course is designed to make your mixing workflow on Pro tools more efficient and professional. In this course you will learn to mix smart through effective mixing techniques taking full advantage of Pro Tools’ inherent work flow.
EQUIPMENT
A state of the art studio with a sound proofed & acoustically treated Control Room & Live Room. The studio set up is equipped with a Pro Tools HD System and industry standard reference audio speakers.
