 The Department of Engineering Sciences (First Year) has been established in 2011. Basic aim of the department is to provide solid foundation and understanding of the fundamental principles of mathematics, science and engineering with opportunities to participate in multidisciplinary teams and to develop and practice skills in all basic branches of engineering.

The Department of Engineering Sciences (First Year) has 9 well equipped labs with required for curriculum development. Department also conducts various seminars and workshops for students and staff.

Department of Electronics and Telecommunication (E&TC)

Over the past two decades, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering has played a pivotal role in improving quality of human life and also contributed to the economic growth of our nation and the world at large. The main aim of the Department is to impart strong theoretical and practical knowledge in the domains of basic electronics as well as advanced fields of Nanotechnology and Automotive Electronics. There are ample learning opportunities in broad areas of communication ranging from classical fields of Satellite, Wireless, and Optical Data Communication to the latest field of Unified Communication which are provided through well-equipped labs and facilities.

The Department supports in-house development of kits and we take utmost care that students get more hands-on with self-design and implementation of circuits and projects. Our Analog Communication lab, Embedded and Electrical labs are currently equipped with our own designed kits. The Department is equipped with a variety of antennas with testing and measurement system facilitating research activities. The Department encourages students to carry out innovative research to match the needs of the technical education system, the industry and our society.

The Department has well-qualified faculty members with rich academic experience who have made significant contributions in various fields and have published research papers in reputed journals, international and national conferences.  Mechanical Engineering

The Mechanical Engineering Department was established in 1957. It offers three years' duration post SSC Full time and Part-time Diplomas in Mechanical Engineering approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

From 1957 to 1994, the programmes offered by the department were affiliated to Board of Technical Examination (BTE), Mumbai now known as Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE) Mumbai. In 1994, the institute was awarded academic autonomy. Hence, from 1994 onwards the Diplomas are awarded by the institute itself. In addition to this, the department had also offered Post-Diplomas in Production Engineering (1977-1990) and Tool Engineering (1992-2007) as per the contemporary needs of the industries. .

The department also offers two skill development programmes - One Year duration 'Advanced Diploma in Automotive Mechatronics' in collaboration with Mercedes Benz (India) Pvt. Ltd. and 'Two Wheeler Service Technician' in collaboration with India Yamaha Motors Pvt. Ltd.

Metallurgical Engineering

Metallurgy department was established in the year 1957.Metallurgy is the study of metals, alloys and materials. Here students study about Extraction of Metals, Iron Making, Steel Making, Microstructure of Metals and Alloys, Testing of Materials, Foundry, Heat Treatment, Welding, Corrosion, Ceramics, Polymers, Composites etc.

Department has good interaction with industries. Final year students are mostly selected by reputed companies like TATA Motors, Bajaj Auto, Bharat Forge, Kirloskar Pneumatics, JSW, Uttam Galva etc.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 1991 with an intake of 60 students which later incremented to 120 students in the year 2009. The department has developed more than 2000 market ready mechanical graduates and received over 46 lakhs sponsorships in various research and innovation activities. The faculty members are having vast experience in their field and have succeeded in keeping a lively atmosphere among the students, with timely up gradations in the curriculum and innovative teaching techniques. Many of the students are well-placed in reputed organizations like Mahindra & Mahindra, TATA Motors, Atlas Copco, Dassult systems etc. Others are pursuing M.Tech., MBA and MS courses in India & abroad.
