Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 1991 – 1992; the Department has traversed the path of knowledge dissemination and generation as well as delivering over 3000 Mechanical Engineering graduates to the Nation. Over these 29 glorious years, it has carved a niche for itself in the key areas of teaching, research, consultancy, administration and community services. The Department of Mechanical Engineering prioritize the necessary revamping of Mechanical Engineering education, which is driven primarily by dynamics of technological advances and sustainable development and with active involvement of industry, alumni, research organizations and other stakeholders. Department offers B. E., M. E. and Ph.D. (Mechanical) Programmes. Department intake is 120 F.E., 18 M.E. (Design Engg.) students and has Ph.D. research centre. As on today, 52 M.E. and 5 doctoral (Ph.D.) students obtained their degree. Department was first accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi in the year 2002 for three years, second in the year 2007 for three years and for two years in 2013.
The department has well qualified and experienced staff. We have excellent record of results and placements. Department is enriched with the laboratories with de-facto standards. Laboratories are well equipped with state-of-the-art equipment including software and hardware.
Department focuses on building the industry linkage to provide the exposure to latest technologies through in-plant training, workshops, value added courses, industrial visits and expert lectures. The enhancement in core technical competencies and soft skill development, the students are being recruited in reputed Design, manufacturing and ITes firms. MESA (Mechanical Engineering Students Association) is the student association, which looks into the various co-curricular activities in the department. Department also runs student chapters like Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), Indian Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE) , Institution of Engineers (IEI), ISTE. The overall goal of the department is to make brilliant and dynamic students to meet the industry challenges.

The department is well known in Pune University for its rank holders. As per ‘US Market Research Analyst’ survey, Production Engineering branch has bright future in new era. Highly qualified & senior faculties are involved in R & D of conventional/ Non-conventional machining & industrial engineering areas.

The CAD/ CAM Lab is equipped with latest softwares like Unigraphics, MasterCAM, Pro-E, CatiaV5, Ansys, Solid Edge, Witness. The department runs certificate courses on these software for the students. Department regularly organizes National level workshop/ seminars, paper presentations etc. Students participate in various extra & co-curricular activities through Production Engineering Students’ Association (PESA).
Department started AeSI Students chapter in association with Aeronautical Society of India, Nasik Branch.
Computer Engineering colleges
Department of Computer Engineering was started in 1986 with the intake of 60 and intake is increased to 120 in the academic year 2012-2013. Department has completed its silver jubilee in year 2011. The department is accredited 3 times by National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi. The department has introduced with ME (Computer Engineering) in the year 2010 with the intake of 18. Department has excellent infrastructure and human resources to cater both these courses.
The department has well qualified and experienced staff. We have excellent record of results and placements. Department is enriched with the laboratories with de-facto standards. Laboratories are well equipped with latest software and hardware. Students are trained in Computer Programming for engineering applications to meet the IT Industry challenges.
Department has tie up with NVIDIA and has setup NVIDIA GPU Teaching Centre housing four workstations & IoT based NVIDIA Jetson embedded board which gives exposure to students on parallel and concurrent programming. The department has tie up with MiTu Skillologies, Nashik for Big Data Analytics Centre of Excellence to provide students with big data analytics platform. IRT Incubation Centre, Microsoft Student Partner Program, IBM Academic Initiative and NPTEL Local Centre are other initiatives in the department which has been proved as an extra advantage to the department. Department has also tie up with ESDS Software private Ltd. Nashik for Cloud Computing – Centre of Excellence for the exposure of student on Cloud platform.
Department focuses on building the student enough competent to get placed in well known companies. ACES (Association of Computer Engineering Students) is the student association, which looks into the various co-curricular activities in the department. The department organizes various expert lectures, educational visits, programming contest for students. Department also runs CSI student chapter under the CSI Nasik region, ISTE student chapter. The overall goal of the department is to make brilliant and dynamic engineers to meet the industry challenges.
