ABOUT MARATHWADA MITRA MANDAL
The trust "Marathwada Mitra Mandal, Pune" was established in 1967 by Hon. Late Shri. Shankarraoji Chavan, Former Home Minister, Govt. of India as the "Founder President". The trust had started its activity with the objective of providing hostel or similar accommodation in Pune to the students. This trust is established through the inspiration of socially and educationally charged personalities, with motto "Yethe Bahutanche Hit" (Welfare of Masses).
Mass education, co-education and dedication towards overall development of the region are the watchwords of the trust. At present the trust has four educational campuses at Deccan, Karvenagar, Lohgaon and Kalewadi. At its various educational campuses the trust has created excellent facilities of education catering to Management, Law, Commerce, Pharmacy, Engineering, Architecture, etc, which provide excellent education to more than 12000 students.
ABOUT MARATHWADA MITRA MANDAL's COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING
MMCOE has been recognised as the BEST COLLEGE by SPPU. MMCOE is one feather in the cap of Marathwada Mitra Mandal Pune, from the academic year 2006 - 2007. It offers five engineering programmes (Computer, Electrical, E&TC, Information Technology and Mechanical) and two P.G programmes MBA and ME(Computer Engineering). It houses 2000+ students and 200 staff members. Along with the focus on core academics, college also takes care of overall personality development of the students. The college has an active robotics cell, NCC, Training and Placement cell etc. The students are motivated to actively participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. They have brought many laurels to the Institute in the events such as Vinodottam Karandak, Firodiya Karandak, Zest, Dexterity etc.
Department of Information Technology

Information Technology covers all aspects of business and social life. Information Technology solves many of the major challenges faced by society and is positively impacting the lives of millions of people worldwide. This branch will mould you to work on extending the cutting edge technology and business innovations. IT professionals find innovative solutions, build scalable products, manage data, improve efficiencies and facilitate communication. With a computational perspective, they can apply their ideas and techniques to a number disciplines including business, engineering, natural and social sciences and the humanities. Information Technology enjoys the same stature as Computer Engineering for recruitment as well as higher studies, worldwide!
The IT department at MMCOE was established in 2006 with an intake of 60 students and is running an undergraduate engineering course BE IT affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. The goal of the department is to impart quality education in the field of Information Technology and related areas. Our students are well trained to face the challenges of this ever-changing technology. All the faculty members are well qualified and use modern teaching aids for training the students. Class teachers along with a teacher-guardian look after all the students and monitor their academic and non academic performances. The department has got state of the art laboratories and class rooms with all modern equipments and facilities. Almost all the eligible students of the department are placed in reputed software companies through the Training and Placement (T&P) cell of college during the final year of their undergraduate programme. We encourage our students to participate in various technical and non technical activities. Our students have won prizes in various intercollegiate events like Firodiya Karandak, Purushottam Karandak, Youthopia, Verve etc.
Department of Computer Engineering

The Computer Department at MMCOE was established in 2006 with an intake of 120 students for undergraduate course(B.E.) and 18 students for Post Graduate course (ME) in Computer Engineering affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. The Computer Engineering Department is well-known for rewarding the changes and challenges in the technological development for industrial arena. As the Industries today demands versatile Engineers with the knowledge of Java, C++, Python, Open Source, AI and Data Science technologies, so the objective of our Department is to prepare with expertise in these technologies with consistent efforts and practice within four year of Engineering course. This makes our students employable and Industry ready. Here with, we form the team of enthusiast, well qualified and competent faculty members. Most of the curriculum is taught using modular learning approach to integrate the academic programs with practical knowledge.
We also have a Departmental Library along with Digital Library with more than 600 library books which are easily made available for students within the Department. The Department has well equipped laboratories. The class rooms are furnished with modern equipments. Almost all the eligible students of the Department are placed in well-known software companies like Schlumberger,Syntel,Zensar,Bitwise,Persistent etc. In order to develop professional skills among students many opportunities are available for participation in co-curricular and extra curricular activities. Our students have won prizes in various intercollegiate events like Firodiya Karandak, PurushottamKarandak, Youthopia, Verve etc. The students have participated and won number of prizes in to collegiate sports and extra- curricular activities. Also, many of our students have been recommended for Higher education overseas after their graduation.
Department of Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering Accreditation
Mechanical engineering is one of the basic and most diverse and versatile engineering branch that touches virtually every aspect of modern life, including the human body and highly complex machines. The role of a Mechanical Engineer is to take a product from an idea to the marketplace. Mechanical engineers play key roles in a wide range of industries including automotive, aerospace, biotechnology, computers, electronics, robotics and automation, microelectromechanical systems, energy conversion and manufacturing.
Mechanical Engineering Department is one of the finest and biggest departments of the institute established in 2006 with the present intake of 180 students for UG programme. The department is very well equipped with workshops, laboratories, departmental library and digital library facilities. The classrooms are well designed rooms that incorporate everything needed for a pleasant learning atmosphere. It persistently seeks and adopts innovative methods to improve the quality of education on a consistent basis. Qualified and Experienced faculties are strongly encouraged to nurture the students. Realizing the importance of learning beyond class rooms, the department encourages students to indulge in co-curricular activities. Department has established student chapters in association with International and National professional bodies like SAEINDIA, ISHRAE, ASHRAE, Institution of Engineers, ISTE, QCFI etc. Many of the students in department participate in technical, non- technical and cultural events on regular basis
Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering
Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering is a versatile discipline, as the curriculum is a perfect blend of Electronics and Telecommunication, giving exposure to budding engineers in varied fields like Embedded Systems, VLSI, Communication and many others. The E&TC department at MMCOE was established in 2006 with an intake of 60 students and an additional intake of 60 was sanctioned in 2008. The department is running an undergraduate engineering course BE (Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering) affiliated to SPPU (formerly University of Pune). Our students are well trained to face the challenges of this ever-changing technology.
Our faculty is the back-bone of the department with a good blend of few seniors with highly dedicated and enthusiastic young teachers along with remarkable team spirit in all the teaching and non-teaching staff members. Class teachers along with teacher-guardians look after all the students and monitor their academic and non-academic performances.
To cope with the ever advancing technology and recent technical developments, the department of Electronics and Telecommunication engineering provides students with state-of-the-art well equipped and well furnished laboratories for their regular academic studies as well as project work. Industry experts are available in the department to guide the students for their project work. Licensed copies of softwares like Multisim, Ultiboard, Xilinx, LabVIEW and MATLAB are also available. Experts from academia and industry are invited for interaction with the students to enhance their knowledge through expert lectures. Reference books, text books, journals, manuals, handbooks (total 620) are easily available to the students in the departmental library.
Students are encouraged to cross the barricades of mere academics and cultivate qualities like leadership, creativity and team spirit. Organizations need people who can work as a team rather than as an individual. Students should be aware of the truth about the present industry requirement and harsh realities of competition. Hence we motivate students to participate in various co-curricular & extra-curricular activities. In view of all round development of students, BETA Student Association and IETE Student Forum are formed.
