Global Institute of Technology & Management, Gurgaon (GITM Farrukhnagar) was established in the year 2008 . COMPUTER SCIENCE & ENGINEERING
The Department of Computer Science & Engineering was established to meet the demand for well-qualified computer professionals and was conceived in the year 2008. The Department offers a 4-year degree program in Computer Science and Engineering. The program focuses on theoretical computer science as well as software and application development. Department has well qualified and vibrant faculty dedicated for the betterment of the students. Most of the students completed the program are well placed in reputed industries, started their own venture or have opted for higher studies. The department has provided a well-equipped computer lab with all the required Software. The Laboratories are installed with internet facility. The department always ensures that course objectives are constantly met and learning outcomes are monitored through periodical test and assignment.
INFRASTRUCTURE
The department has an independent floor with well equipped classrooms, laboratories and faculty offices. There are 8 laboratories with around 250 Computers for the use of students. In addition there are computers for faculty members. The computers provide windows and Linux environments for computation purposes and are connected to a high speed internet line. The department has wifi connectivity as well as servers and printers for the use of staff and students. Operating Systems, Databases and various system and application software are available for teaching and research purposes. In addition, there are digital electronics and microprocessor kits available for subjects in Computer engineering and Electronics.
Management Studies
Introduction
The Department of Management Studies is a result of the evolutionary process of growth of an idea floated in 2007. What was then a seed, gradually came to life and in 2008, Global had set up an internal committee to conceptualize, the department of management which started functioning in 2009.
Management program at Global Institute is designed keeping in mind the changes in business environment and the need of the industry. Our academic program is comparable to the best that are available in the world class business schools for creating managers to face the new challenges of the ever changing market environment. The entire course aims at creating holistic managers trained by a very eminent faculty, which is also supported by the experienced professionals as external faculty from India and abroad. The students are admitted through a rigorous screening process that includes 12th percentage, MAT score, group discussion and interview.
