  The development of any country is being judged on the basis of pace of urbanization. With the rapid pace of urbanization and Smart City Projects, round the corner in our country, the disposal of Solid waste and Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) are the major concern. It is estimated that India generates about 133760 tonnes of MSW per day. At the global level, about 1.3 billion metric tonnes of MSW is generated annually, which is expected to rise to about 2.2 billion metric tonnes by 2025.
